I've not been making new things lately, except for food! Trying some new recipes. No pics of those, but I have been taking lots of product/promotional photos for friends. Here's one of my favorites:

P.S. This thread title made me laugh out loud!

I'm not sure if these will show up...

I've been taking a stained glass class the past couple months. I made this:

and I made a new top for my desk, which is really a dining table that I've been using either as a dining table, or a desk for the past... 16 years?

I made these socks using yarn that my friend Jenna dyed:

They're also happen to be the colors of my favorite hockey team :)

Awesome stuff everyone! I am in awe of the stained glass, wish I could do something that cool.

I didn't finish any projects this week, but I have a couple of things that are really close, so hopefully I'll be back to share pictures in a week or two.

I've been crocheting up a storm for the baby while stuck on the couch (at least I'm not still in bed!)

The jewel toned ones are going with us to the hospital- I used up the last bit of yarn from a capelet that I made for my mom when she was in the hospital one of the first times.

Slippers for when he's a little older.

I also have a baby jacket that just needs buttons- I should finish it tonight.

smokingmoney - that stained glass is fantastic! I've always wanted to do a class in it, maybe I should get my a-into-g and look into it!

Pearlipie, your hat made me squee out loud.

StudioMarlowe and Kelly, stained glass is actually pretty easy. I was super intimidated at first but the class has been awesome. The instructor is an old sort of hippie dude who has been doing this stuff for ages and is super knowledgable. I didn't even really *like* stained glass that much until I decided to take the class because it was close to home, and I really needed a reason to get out of the house more.

Scoring and breaking is totally the hardest part, and I'm working really hard at getting good at it so that I don't have to do so much grinding, but there were other people in the class who basically just took chunks off around the edges of their pattern and then ground the rest away. I just really dislike using the grinder and having to deal with the ground glass facials. We learned the foil technique and while there's a bit of practice involved in soldering, and making nice smooth lines, that's my favorite part. Anyway, I totally recommend trying it.

Smokingmonkey, the new tabletop has a beautiful grain. I'd like to try woodworking, but lack a garage/basement (for now).

LadyStardust, I'm perpetually amazed by your ability to crank out a pair of socks like every other week. The colors are so cheerful, too.

Pearliepie! By now you've made a baby, too! He's a lucky dude to have such lovely knitteds waiting.
